Based on the **Hailo 8 / Hailo 8L NPU** (Neural Processing Unit), and designed in direct collaboration with Hailo, the Neuron module can be used to offload AI workloads from the Helios, such as computer vision (for example YOLO detection and classification), while being a lot more efficient compared to GPU based solutions such as the Nvidia Jetson The Neuron connects seamlessly to the Helios using a single cable and requires no external power, so integration to the Helios is plug-and-play. In cases where 26 TOPS is overkill and the platform is cost-optimized, there also exists a 13 TOPS version.
